P.Y.Tang from Team Singapore reported to us taking 3rd in the 4WD GT Class at the Tamiya Asia Cup Finals 2011. Using the Acorn Racing Tyre Rejuvenator and Nasa Mighty Gripper V2 combination for tyre treatment in his Tamiya TA06Pro throughout the event, it gave P.Y.Tang necessary traction to run in the extreme outdoor environment carpet track. P.Y.Tang started in 3rd position after 6 rounds of qualifying. Although a good start and contending for the win in Final A1, P.Y.Tang hit the side walls on the long straight and fell to 3rd. Final A2 was not so lucky as P.Y.Tang had an electrical failure. A better run in Final A3 finishing 2nd, although leading for the first minute but dropped down to 7th after a contact from behind. P.Y.Tang final words after the event said that "finishing on podium was great and wishing Nicholas Lee good luck at the Tamiya World Championships".
